Project coordinator Jaume Abella from the Barelona Supercomputing Center represented the project at the Birds of a Feather session, “TrustworthyAI Cluster: Main innovations and future challenges” together with cluster siblings EVENFLOW, TALON and ULTIMATE. The workshop took place on 18 February at 10:30 in Brussels and had an active online and presencial audience.
The workshop took place within the framework of the Adra – AI-Data-Robotics-Association and AI-on-Demand Platform event “Future Ready: On-Demand Solutions with AI, Data and Robotics” from 18-19 February 2025.
The workshop focused on sharing updates made by each project, a round up of highlights and challenges experienced by each, and a lively question and answer session.
The first day of the event concluded with a town hall session where each project cluster group presented their cluster’s highlights and challenges. ULTIMATE coordinator Michel Barreteau represented the cluster and mentioned the following highlights and challenges.

Highlights
- Considering hybrid AI to build or increase trustworthiness
- Building trustworthy AI activities along the entire AI life cycle (at system/ algoritym / SW and HW levels)
- Pursuing an end-to-end TrustworthyAI (value sensitive design-based) methdology
Challenges
- Scalability and transferablity of trustworthy frameworks
- AI-based risk management environment
- Collection and organization of good practices, retex etc in terms of trustworthiness to make the AI life cycle more mature.
The event provided an important opportunity for the cluster of projects to share common challenges and reflect on key highlights in the realm of TrustworthyAI. It also offered a platform for which to share these conclusions with the greater AI, Data and Robotics community and to directly influence the European Commission’s thoughts on this topic.
