The SAFEXPLAIN keynote at the INTACS event “Optimal Performance of Modern Development: Automotive SPICE® Fusion with Intelligent Systems and Agile Frameworks” hosted by SEITech Solutions GmbH as part of the Gate4SPICE was extremely well-received by attendees. The event provided a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and gain insights from leading experts in the Automotive SPICE community, elite professionals in Quality Management at the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) & top Original Equipment Manufacturer groups.
Carlo Donzella from exida development presented “A Tale of Machine Learning Process Models: A-SPICE PAM 4.0 Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) vs AI-based Criticaly Systems”. His presentation focused on the interconnected topics of understanding Machine Learning and AI and how to align internal processes with the updated Automotive SPICE for Machine Learning in PAM 4.0, the applicability of A-SPICE for Agile methodologies in PAM 4.0, particularly in the context of deploying Agile in Intelligent Systems, and how the increasing integration of AI raises concerns regarding Functional Safety and Cybersecurity, and explore how the adoption of new A-SPICE extensions can assist practitioners in addressing these emerging challenges.
Following the keynote, a dedicated workshop focused on “A-SPICE® for Machine Learning: Best Practices from theSAFEXPLAIN project”. The event offered the chance to deepen the mutual interest between two communities not always much in touch (EU research and development and the German car industry). There was also high interest in the project’s results from the Egyptian participants.
