The SAFEXPLAIN deliverables provide key details about the project and its final outcomes. The following deliverables have been completed for public dissemination and approved by the European Commission. The final deliverables are listed below:
D2.3 Safety concept
A safety concept that assesses the previously defined strategies and specific solutions for implementing safety patterns in safety-critical software systems that incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) components.
D2.4 Safety guidelines
Key conclusions drawn from the reviews conducted by certification authorities and technical standards assessment experts of the previously consolidated safety guidelines applied to rail, automotive and space use case domains.
D3.3 Final proofs-of-concept, arguments, and DL components and libraries
A systematic approach for cataloguing and categorizing Explainable AI (XAI) techniques, making them accessible to practitioners implementing FUSA compliant solutions following SAFEXPLAIN’s proposed approach.
D3.4 Final DL components, libraries and the DL interface
Explainability, traceability, and robustness within the context of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a practical handbook guiding the development of DL components for Critical Autonomous AI-based Systems (CAIS).
D4.2 Final Platform Technologies report
Platform-level aspects relevant for supporting both performance and FUSA requirements on top of the platform.
D5.2 Case study porting and integration
Status of the SAFEXPLAIN case studies, focusing on the integration and porting of system components developed across the project. Demonstration of how the Safety Pattern 2 (SP2) architecture—defined in earlier work—has been applied to an MVP demonstrator and three demonstrators in representative domains: space, automotive, and railway.
D6.4 Intermediate communication and dissemination report
Communication and dissemination activities carried out from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2024 (M1-M24) and analysis of the project’s communication and dissemination strategy during the first two years of the SAFEXPLAIN project.
